By limiting the number of Members to 25, the Syndicate retains an element of exclusivity.

A one-off initial subscription fee includes all stabling and training fees, insurance (all risk of Mortality and limited Critical Care cover) farrier fees, normal vet costs, nominations & acceptance fees for normal races and local transport to gallops, NHA registration fees, CTC Syndicate Member fees and racing silks, Members will most probably not have to disburse any further amount until August 2025 when Members will decide by vote which of the 6 horses will be worth keeping in training as 4 year olds.

The leased horse comes at no additional cost to Members. Ricky shall continue to pay for the monthly expenses and these ongoing expenses will be deducted from any stake earnings won by the horse during the lease period. The Nett stakes earning proceeds shall be equally split (50/50) between Ricky and the Syndicate. At the conclusion of the 12-month lease period, Members will have the option to either extend the lease for a further 12-months especially if the horse lives up to the early promise he shows, or the lease will then lapse automatically.

NHA Registration fees include the fee to register the Syndicate with the NHA as colours holder and annual renewal fees thereof, the Change of Ownership Registration fees for each horse and the fees for Authority to Act between Trainer and the Syndicate.

All Syndicate Members will be registered as a Cape Turf Club Syndicate Member and will receive a Cape Turf Club Syndicate Member badge.

All members present on course can lead in a winner but only Cape Turf Club Syndicate Members (Membership included), or Members who are already registered colours holders with the NHA will be allowed in the pre-race parade ring (limited to 6 Members per race).

Members will be kept regularly informed via WhatsApp of what’s happening with their horses and their progress. Members are welcome to attend morning gallops and visit the stables during normal stabling working hours to see their horses.
